It can be used as a moisturizing oil for the skin, a massage oil, or a bath oil. Some herbs, such as rosemary and peppermint, are also believed to promote botanical extractor hair growth and can be used as a hair oil. Combine the herbs and oil in a canning jar with an airtight lid. Place a tea towel in the bottom of a slow cooker to keep the jar (or jars) from rattling around and set the jar on top.

Your oils may last a year or more if stored properly. Due to the natural water content of fresh herbs, be sure to use DRIED herbs for infused oils. If there is any moisture present, your herbal oils can turn rancid or grow mold or bacteria. Dried herbs are highly concentrated and result in a more potent infusion.
